I came across this document List of songs deemed inappropriate by Clear Channel following the September 11, 2001 attacks on another blog.
Apparently after the 9/11 attacks Clear Channel developed and distributed a banned-song list. Radio stations were not to play these songs including, "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong, Rage Against the Machine - all songs and Alanis Morissette "Ironic"
Whether I agree with censorship or not - I don't think banning Alanis Morissette really helped U.S. morale. Actually, finding out that there was a list like this distributed kind of kills what little morale I have towards radio stations.
